Might be picking up a 01 929 this week. Wondering what kind of gearing people have ran on this bike? I already have a highway bike, so i dont give a sh*t about having a big gear on it. Just wanna know what works best through experience.

 

I was -2+8 on my 954 worked wonders

 

I'm 15 up on my 954rr, still good for streets, and can always go 1 or 2 down if needed.

 

Joe Brown ran -2+5 on his blue 929 for SIU2 and 3

 

I'm -1 +17 and it works great - rock the city streets and parking lots with great engine break -- either go big or don't go at all cuz you already have a highway bike

 

i was -1 +10 on mine when i had it. it was to much
