What should I buy??

Hey Im from wausau and I was wondering what kinda bike you guys think would be a good overall bike. Im not planning on making it a pure stunt bike but I would still like to be able to do endos and wheelies and all the other sh*t with time and practice. I had a 2000 ZX7R last summer but sold it in order to fix the supra I had at the time. Now I am wanting another bike but I dont wanna buy something worthless. I am a fan of the GSXR 750 but would a 600 be enough? What do you guys think? I would like to stick with a Suzuki or a Yamaha possibly but I am very open to any suggestions...Also Im not buying new I am buys from my uncle who works for a insurance company and Im gonna buy one that was repoed or a theft recovery for cheap. I bought my ZX7R from him with 4200 miles last summer for 1800.00 just cause the title was salvaged but it was flawless. Anyway please let me know and keep the bad comments to yourself. Im new on here and with time I wont be such a dumb ***.

Re: What should I buy??

really its personal preferrence, just get something thats fuel injected

r6
gsxr600 /750
f4i (parts are cheap)
600rr
636

especially if its not a full blown stunter for you, 600's are good, liter bikes are twitcher for stunts

Im partial to Hondas cause they are built tough, ive had probably more bikes then anyone else on this forum, right around 10-15 different ones.

Re: What should I buy??

the f4i is a pretty bad *** bike. thats what im riding and love it. runs great, good for stunting or just riding around town. a little more comfortable than the r6 i know. but not sure what youre lookin to do with it. the 600's have so much power now that you really dont notice the diff b/n a liter and a 600 until higher speeds. fuel injection is a MUST though! dont fu(k with the carbs any more!!

Re: What should I buy??

I really love the way Suzuki's look so I kinda want a GSXR 600, But If I could find a 750 that would be awsome Im only looking to spend about 4-4,500 ish cause Im buying it from uncles insurance company. I would conside a f4i but dont you have to swap out the forks if you wanna do endo's (stoppies)?? I might be wrong but Im new to this. Im planning on buying the bike in January sometime. Also is there anyone in WI that would be willing to kinda train me on how to wheelie and endos and **** cause I would probably have a better chance of NOT f**king up the bike if I had someone to be a spoter or something. Between an f4i,GSXR600, and a R6 which is the best over all and best for stunting? Or are they all about the same? I will have about 3k left to customize it but I cant afford a 998cc with my insurance. Also is a TL1000r a good bike? I had a chance to buy a 2003 with 4k miles for 2700 from my cousin but he sold it before I had the money. Let me know, I appreciate the replys.

I disagree, 600 and liter bikes are night and day difference, fist time I bought one i felt like i was riding a motorcycle for the fist time, tons of power throughout the whole powerband, as to appose to the 600 which makes all of its power at the top.

Stay away from TLS and R for stunts, heavy bikes, not easy stuntable bikes.
F4i' forks are fine for endos, people run hundreds of feet on them

Suzuki guy here....

98-99 750's use 1st generation F.I. It works but has bugs
00-06 750's use newer, better F.I.

01-06 600's use newer, better F.I.

97-01 TL1000S's use 1st gen F.I.

98-03 TL1000R's use 1st gen F.I.

99-06 'Busas not sure

Bah....you're skinny and old. I've seen plenty of TL's stunted....with a little bit of muscle.

Re: What should I buy??

So a 2001 or newer gsxr 600 would be a good over all bike? I am kinda leaning towards it if you couldn't already tell. lol. Im gonna try to get a 750 or MAYBE even a 1000 but I probably will end up with a 600.

Re: What should I buy??

A 750 will get you upside-down forks though. UPSD forks = more rigid with less flex when coming down.

Re: What should I buy??

And would a GSXR 1000 be worth buying if it just needed new plastics and headlight/turnsignals? Possibly forks? I could get a 2002 GSXR1000 today for 4100 but I also could get a 2003 GSXR 600 for 3800 both with about 4k miles what should I do? Im not saying that Im buyng either nessesarly but what would you guys do?

if you buy a gsxr1000 that needs all that stuff, for that price you may as well buy a new one. depending on how bad the plastic is you'll spend 1500.00 just on body parts w/o a light and directionals.
