Hey, this is Chad, webmaster and now part-time business end of 346 Extremez out of Racine, Wisconsin.

We had a show in Irma, Wisconsin this past weekend at a Harley bar. It was promoted by a guy that goes by the name Preacher. He owns the Free Riders Press paper.

346 agreed to do the show for a place to stay (which was camping) and gas money, which amounted to $500.

We gave receipts for the gasoline to Preacher, and he refused to pay us.

He wanted to give us less than half of that. After a long time of haggling back and forth, we finally got him to give us all the money.

At which time he got pissed off and said because we wouldn't accept his $200, he wouldn't give us any press, or pass our name along.

I just wanted to extend a warning to anyone wanting to do business with him.

Again, his nickname is Preacher, real name Daron Lorie Jensen, he owns Free Riders Press out of Steven's Point, Wisconsin.

My suggestion is that if you do business with him, you have him sign a contract, otherwise you might be doing a show for alot less than you think.

yeah, we basicly did the show that cheap b/c 346 needed a vacation from all the work we have been putting in promoting ourselves!!! the price was agreed apon for our vacation and b/c he promised us 40,000 spectators and we figured we would make it up in dvd sales. well there was about 100 spectators, we werent in any ads, we werent on the local radio station, people i knew that lived in wausau 15 min. away had no clue we were coming till i called them. no one at the campground really even knew till we pulled in and promoted ourselves all night and day b4 the show. he was just a slimy middle man that was tryin to get a cut. fu(k him. the rest of the people were really cool the bar and campground owner started crying when we told her what he was doing and paid us in full. she wants us back up there next year and we will be doing our own promoting and getting paid ALOT better. i had a bad feeling when i was told we were dealing with a promoter, thats never good. the word promoter in the stunt world from my experiences means bend over im taking a cut for doing nothing. our buisness guys are fresh to the sport. they are doing a good job, but they are green. chad will be doing alot more hands on training if you will so this never happens again. we were ready to leave. we packed the bikes and basiclly said fu(k you! eat a di(k!!...luckilly everything worked out once they saw we werent going to be pushed around. we did 2 shows, had a blast, made alot of good contacts and securede more shows, wich is what its all about....


id like to thank the 346 girls for there hard work pushing our dvd's that day...only 300 left out of 1,000!!!! lets sell these fu(kers out and put the next one out!!!!

Word. I really can't blame the guy, I'm a greedy person, if it was me trying to get a cut, I'd do the same thing.

Everything that happened this past weekend was our fault. It was a learning experience. I just wanted to make a post about it in case any other teams came into contact with them, they could be more careful than we were.

We told him we were cheap, and I even offered several times to give him the phone numbers of other stunt teams from Wisconsin in case he didn't want to do business with us.

Honestly, I'd like to go up there again, but if no one wants us up there, I'd rather have a team we know go up there and do a good show. We know someone could use the money/support.

I'm glad this situation came about, otherwise we'd be dealing with this crap constantly.

Like Bill said, the guys are green, no big deal, I was green once too. I'm still green. But I'll do my best to insure 346 never has to deal with this again.

 

WTF?!? i thought you were saying this guy was trying to **** you out of money, and everyone should watch out for him.... but then you say, "well.... its not really his fault... its ours" ?!?!?

isn't that like dude kicking you in the *****, and then you ask for another?!?

whoever does his next show... the price just doubled.... no??

 

riiiight, **** him, preecher is an *** and i wanted to wrap a crutch around his head, he caused us a huge headache and would have deserved it. like i said, if he thought our price was too high, call the other teams, i dont know exactly what they charge...but i guarentee its prob. triple, if not more, and thats what i told them to tell preecher...
ryan, i agree, but like i said, our buisness guys are green, but at least it got cleared up. they are lucky chad was there to step in, cause if i would have i cant promise you my temper wouldnt have taken over....show his *** how we do it down here...beer bottles and pool cues ya know.

 

I'm saying it was our fault we didn't try to cover our asses. Placing blame doesn't do anything, the deal is said, done, and sealed.

He was trying to **** us out of money, but we got it from him. I wrote this post as a notice to everyone else. I'm not saying don't do business with him, I'm just saying if you do business, be careful.

I wouldn't mind doing business with him in the future, because we've learned something from it, and we will be more careful.

The post was a warning so that another team next year or next week won't get ****ed over. I'm trying to look out for other people.

i agree, all 5 of us have a different bag of tricks, but we have to start mixin' it up....i know parker got me to start the slow ****, and i got him into the high chair combo's....we have another 160 pics....i just need to get at it. the video from the shows does alot more justice than the stills...trust me, our still camera people, including myself, always seem to miss the good **** and only get whats easy to snap a pic at. mixin it up is one thing we have been working on thisa year. im just hoping i didnt loose the 4 or 5 new things i learned right b4 i bit the asphalt...shows and what we normally do are 2 totally different things also. within 5 min. of starting a show, you know what they want to see and what they could care less to see....


just on a progression note....parker just got no handers yesterday...and i learned i can still do some things with a cast on...i just cant jump around and do combo's :YEAH
