Doing free shows is one thing, But when the ******** wont even give us free track time or any kind of perks what so ever **** em. They have been riding us like donkeys for years now. Gotta be the only place that dosent compensate thier riders at all. Mean while they rake in the doe and screw us in the process. Kinda sucked our riders and friends put in so much time and have ZERO to show for it.

THANX FOR NOTHING GREAT LAKES DRAGWAY

Re: aint this about a b*tch

well ultimatum time will be coming soon...they are going to need someone to do the xsba shows and if they are packing the place we aint doing the **** for free. the shows during the week are basicly free and legal practice time for us with someone else to clean up the mess ya know...its a little different on harley shoot out nights when there are all of 20 people in the stands if we are lucky...

Funny to see people chiming in saying f**k Great Lakes Dragaway...

I agree with Ryan on this but to this date a "show" has not been given to warrant any payment at all. I cant speak for 346's shows but I can speak for Miltown's experience at the grove.

So how can you ask to get paid when the "show" consists of a group of 6-10 guys treating the track like a parking lot with only friends watching, not a track with potentially thousands of spectators watching? When the riders are doing random tricks all over the track, even way past the spectators ability to see things at the end of the track, where is the entertainment value in that? Hell, as I did all the camera work, I couldnt even see half the **** that was going on even with 16x optical zoom or even try to keep track of people flying around randomly! So with that little entertainment value, why should the promoter have any obligation to pay for this makeshift "show". When entertainment is provided so will the payments. That much is fact.

Re: aint this about a b*tch

Hey Bro!! this is no complaint about your post... just my opinion about how i feel about 346, Miltown, or anybody doing free sh*t for Great Lakes.... funny... i thought i remember a bunch of video posted on the website of people in the stands cheering for a bunch of guys out there trashing their bikes for nothing. i also remember many fans coming up and telling the guys that it was a great show. thats not considered a show?!? i'm not getting into a pissing match of what a "show" is or not... but i would think that ANY entertainment value provided is better entertainment value than watching track cleanup crew every time someone's car blows up.... and that folks, helps line Great Lakes pockets... which then warrants payment of some sort. oh gee.... thanks for the 10 mins of track time every four hours... greatly appreciated!! haha.... Great Lakes doen't even provide free concessions to feed or hydrate the riders.... what a joke!! i say hit Great Lakes Dragway where it REALLY counts... IN THEIR OWN POCKETS!! don't attend anymore of their events, and don't do anymore free shows, and spread the word they are BULLSHIT!! and for the record, i'm not one of the stunters mentioned here... just an outsider thats sick of Great Lakes treatment of people doing shows for them. end of rant.

oh yeah.... Bill, sorry to hear about the damages to your bike. At least you got away with just damage to the motor and cover.... unlike someone who lost a whole bike to Great Lakes with no compensation.

Re: aint this about a b*tch

Weather or not our shows where organized or not is not the point. They entertained the crowd, PERIOD. I remeber our guys out there in the rain putting on a show just to help the track out. Who gives a **** if we where not organized, we where still there, and our riders where very dedicated until they felt like they where being shorted, which they where.

And I dont care what the level of entertainment is, They still will not pay. There is only 2 guys in the group that think our guys arent worth getting payed. I agreed with you at first frank but after seeing this for the last 3 years It just kinda sucked seeing our riders get bent over.

Thats my 2 pennies

Re: aint this about a b*tch

i totally agree with all of you on the doing free shows sucks aspect...but like i said, when they have all of 20n people in the stands during a harley shoot out night, its a little different. we did how ever let the track officials know where we stand last time we were out there with at least treating us with some respect. dont tell us we are going on, get us gearer up and then have us sitting there for an hour(like that one night we were out there with miltown). we will go fu(king home. we dont have to do this **** if we arent getting paid....we were on the track 2 minutes after i *****ed. as for getting any money out of them, well there are only a handfull of shows left this year, seeing as how the guys from miltown were generous enough to give us a leg up, we are showing the track that we put on a solid show and give it our all. even the guys that arent in 346 that do the shows with us give it there all. so there is definitly going to have to be some negotiations for next years shows.
