A mini story
I do have a good story, from my Halloween party on Saturday, but I'm tired... so I'll give you a mini story...
I pulled out onto a two lane road today. The stoplight was about half a mile a away. And like any good idiot, I clutched it up, snicked 2nd, and rode past a some girls washing their cars, thinking to myself "I am soooo cool." I swear, it's a reflex. The don't even have to be hot. But anyway...
And I'm coming up to the light, and because I'm a responsible rider, I set the front wheel down before going though the intersection. Safety first and all. And at that point, I realize that there is a pushbar on the white Crown Victoria waiting to turn left, on the oncoming lane.
F*ck Me.
Sure enough, he hits his lights and pulls towards me. I slow and pull up next to the curb. I'm thinking to myself.... I don't have my registration or insurance, no mirrors, no taillights, plate is tucked and COVERED in rubber... it could be JAIL time.. And he rolls down his window and says "So, do you just want me to take your license now?" and I get all sheepish and say "No. Not really." At that point I start to reach for my wallet and he says "I don't even want to see it. Just be ride more carefully." and he pulled away...
Hoooooo-leeeeeee SH*T! For the first time in my life, I caught a break from a cop. NEVER, EVER, EVER have I been let off completely free.
It almost makes up for my no visor ticket...
Oh yeah, this all happened on the street that my dad's business is on, and I was on my way there. And when I got there, my brother said "You're a dumbass. I saw you get pulled over. I was in the Wendy's drivethrough" He didn't believe me that I didn't get a ticket.
