Always that passenger to get the worse of it...

 

ya cant be on the roads anymore this season..i almost ate it a couple times...i have brand new tires and they wouldnt stick to the road for shiat...the roads are just to cold

 

Holy shiat....just read the story...thats horrible..that ******* shoudlnt have had a passanger on the roads this time of season...and that person in the SUV needs to die for not making sure they were ok

yeah, i think it's definately time to put 'em up. I'm to figure out some way to get her inside for the winter. Would like to do some work on her and it would be SO much easier to do in say, the living room. Too bad about the girl. I would rather go than have my passenger die, something you have to live with forever. Hopefully the SUV driver shows...have a feeling they had something to do with it.

The 19-year-old driver of the Suzuki racing-style motorcycle lost control while going around a curve and crossed the center line on Great Lakes Crossing Drive, near Joslyn Road, according to police. He swerved to avoid hitting an oncoming sport utility vehicle and hit a guardrail, Local 4 reported. The driver and passenger were thrown from the motorcycle.

Just curious what makes you think they had anything to do with it? I read that he lost control (for whatever reason, cold tires, to fast for conditions, inexperienced with passenger, etc.), crossed the center line, and swerved to avoid traffic that he shouldn't have been in, and crashed.

Didn't the midget teach you anything woman. Motorcycles tires harden up and get less traction when it is cold. It takes longer for tires to warm up and still do not get to optimal temperatures for any substantial amount of grip on the cold roads.


Seems like tires were not the issue in this crash seeing as he crossed the yellow lines in a corner. Sounds mainly like lack of experience to me. Driver took the corner too hot and paniced.

I dont like taking passengers period..but i do..i trust my riding abilities with or without a passenger but id feel like **** if someone else ****ed up and hurt my passenger that i decided to take on my bike...but why you shouldnt especially have them on the road this time of seaon...when it gets this cold out..that pavement stay very very cold..and we all know that cold roads and cold tires just dont make any traction...very dangerous...but i guess it goes back to the idea we all ride at our own risk...i myself just wouldnt have a passanger this time of year...if i want to go out and risk my safety thats one thing...if it had not been as cold as it was that ryder might have been able to control his bike alot better.. but he was probably inexperienced and hot doggin it..not knowing the unsafe conditions..this is just something ive learned over the 5 years of riding...so every BE CAREFULL cause thats a horrible story very tragic

 

I wrecked my bike about a month ago and I've really been eager to ride again. My bike has been at the dealership all this time waiting to see what the insurance company is going to do. After reading stories like this, It make me not want to ride anymore this season. Well after I found out today that my insurance company is going to total it I was pissed. Now I feel like ***** it!! I can wait until it's warm again and buy a new one.

 

That is a sad story..., way too young for this..., hopefully, for those of us that will ride until it snows, it's a little lesson NOT to get into the corners like we were in July, just too cold. Ride like newb in the corners, get home safe, and just be happy to be on 2 wheels...
