Re: MTV Tonight

you know what, i think they did a pretty good job. It concentrated a whole lot more on competition and getting the sport recognized then it did street. I think they did a great job on it without bringing a lot of negative attention.

Re: MTV Tonight

First of all I don’t think this is what our Grass roots sport needs at the time. As far as Tony-D soliciting major sponsorships I think that’s a step in the wrong direction. If you have a buzz, and the scene is getting by, without major sponsorships, they will catch on.
In the long run the result would be far better and more rewarding than being ******.
The best example I can give is look at the music industry; it’s saturated with crap! Everyone buys into the glam, not the music. The best bands come up on their own, but as the media controls us, like MTV, we are forced to hear garbage like “Trapt” and “Creed”.
Those bands are not an organic group. They were put together to make money, for the look, and the terrible sound…
This is easily were our sport could head to, before it even get popular.
Now every time I ride my bike, I’ll have to watch my every move cause the police are expecting you to F’ck up.
Thanks Stone Brothers, editing is fun with “movie maker” isn’t it!
Someones gotta step up and add some real substance to a video.

All I'm saying is that if we cry out for help we will be controlled by the big wigs and they will take all the fun out of "our" sport.

Ok, first of all, nobody is forcing you to listen to anything, if u don't like creed or trapt, then dont fawkin listen to them! I for one like music like that, and i don't think i'm alone here.

and quit crying .... Nobody is "controlling" you or "taking the fun" out of your sport unless you let them. No matter what theres always going to be someone out there that does a sport for the fame and fortune... like it or not.. that doesn't mean that you have to.

As far as i'm concerned sponsors can only help make the sport easier. lets face it, this isn't a cheap hobby, the $$ side prevents a lot of real talent from ever being seen... with sponsors it will give those that don't have the $$ a chance to show what they've got and still do what they love.

anyone that looks at stunners as "******" well.. don't watch em then. simple as that.. since when do any of u guys care what anybody thinks? the only ppl that should matter are your fans... and they will never think your a "*****" and will still be your fans with or without a sponsor.

just my
i hate ppl that think the world is out to get them and everything is a conspiracy geez!

“Opinions are like a$$holes”, but that’s why bill gates gave us this forum. Sponsors will help, but Temp-tattoo’s, gimme a break! Second, I don’t “hate” anyone. I’m sorry if you hate me for having an opinion but remember that it’s my right.
Third and fore most, there is a ton of great music out there, that isn’t breed up so to fit the appropriate “beats per minute” to keep people listening. Please open your mind enough to stray away from MTV, and the radio. Buy an album because you may like the artwork. It’s a gamble, but you may just like it!

1st off, i have no idea what your talking about w/ the temp tatoos... i'm assumint it has something to do w/ the show but i didn't c it so....

2nd, i don't hate you for having an opinion, i was simply stating mine

and i am a very "open minded" person, thats why i love this sport. fyi.. i HATE mtv, and haven't watched it in years, or anything else on tv other than sports for that matter.

Just because i like some of the music they play on the radio does not mean that i'm NOT "open minded" and there is a lot of music i love that u would never hear on the radio.. just so happens that some of it they play on the radio isn't all that bad... maybe u should try being a little more "open minded" and not hating on everything just cause everyone else LIKES it!
