The "Glass and a Half" Phenomenon
The "Glass and a Half" Phenomenon
Have you ever noticed, that when you pour yourself one glass of something, it's never enough. Hell, it's 75% gone before you even get back to the couch. You set it down, wait 30 seconds, grab it and finish it, and then you're pissed off, because you have to get up and go for a refill.
So you get up and you refill it. You also have to add new ice at this point, usually resulting in mismatched ice cube sizes, which pisses me off. So you get back to the couch, set it down, take a sip and start watching TV again. At that point, you'll probably never touch your drink again. Or if you do, it will hours later, and completely room temperature, watered down, and flat.
Sometimes I fill a full glass at the fridge, slam it, and then refill. I think I'm so smart. But I never finish the second glass once I get back to the couch.
Also, this phenomenon has nothing to do with the size of the glass. It just happens.
Anybody else?
I REALLY need to go to bed....

yea ive noticed that too. My room is on the other side of my house and I get a glass of w/e before bed. Drinkin it on the way to my room. Its pretty much gone by the time I get to my room. I finish it maybe 10 minutes later and get really pissed that I have to go to the other side of the house to refill it.
