Exclamation Got a good charity ride idea, vote

So I think I gotta pretty good way we could raise some loot for a charity, or even DSR since we are broke asses.

How about a DSR Road Rally?????

I'm thinking like teams of 3, and charge a small entry fee per person. I was thinking of making like a check list of things to complete, assigning a point value to each task. Then maybe giving each team a disposable polaroid camera, where they would have to bring a picture of them completing the task. I've done these road rallies before and they can be a lot of fun.

We could probably end it at like Rosies or a Hooter's or something, and the winner's would each get a decent prize. If we get enough people, we might be able to swing like a Joe Rocket Mesh jacket for each memeber of the winning team or something. Totally depends on the amount of participants.

I'm asking you to vote/post up if your interested so I can get an idea of who'd be interested and a estimated head count.

I'm more than willing to do this, and I think it could put some loot in the DSR account, but it takes a lot of work to get this all together. So if your serious, let me know and I'll start planning.

I like the idea the only thing I don't like is it is going to be more money I have to front the club

Idea is a good one for sure...

As far as the prizes -

It should be set up as a cash prize.. That way some of the earning can go back into the clubs account and the rest can be split between the winning team.. This way no money is fronted....

Re: Got a good charity ride idea, vote

Well this is what I was thinking. We get all the teams together mid day to start the rallie, once we collect all the loot for entry, we use that to go out and get the prizes for first place. That way the prize is completely determined by number of entries. The only money we'd have to front is to get a disposible poloriod camera for each team. Shouldn't be that expensive, and the remaining money goes to future DSR events.

It sounds like it could be fun. Sort of like a scavenger hunt or something.
