GSXR Help

Anyone have a motor layin around with a single wire oil pressure sending unit on it (mine is a 2002 1000). I have an oil light on and want to swap out this switch to see if it fixes it. I know that the switch is causing it to come on just need to prove good or bad switch.

Thanks

Re: GSXR Help

well first do you have oil in it...there has been a known problem with the oil drain plug falling out on some gixxers :YEAH

next, does it go away when you unplug the sensor? I am not sure without having one in my hands, but you may be able to short the wire to ground to simulate a closed circuit.

Yes oil is full...

The switch is grounded with no pressure and when pressure is there no ground light goes out. I unhook switch light goes out, but with switch hooked up light always on. So I have come to the conclusion that I have bad switch or actually no oil pressure...
