I thought the exact same thing about that parade where those kids got hit...

Daryl, you might want to seriously consider this one. Just too many damn people line streets for the parades.. Very risky if something happens.. A bike dont need to be going 100mph to get outta control..

Re: Wanna Ride In Paradee and Stunt Show

Not to mention the fact that at an official stunt show, people go there with and understanding of the situation they're putting themselves or their children in, versus going to see some clowns and floats and all of a sudden some wanna-be stunter comes spinning by on his a$$ with his 400 Lb. bike scraping up behind him..with kids lining the curbs. This is not the appropriate venue for a big bike stunt show..I can only think of a handful of riders in this area with the control and experience to keep this from getting out of hand, and even then, people aren't prepared for it, and accidents happen. As a parent, this completely freaks me out.

And I'm not trying to be grammar police, but at least spell the name of the event right..what is a paradee? Is that like parody? As in parody of a real stunt show? It's parade bro. Only one "e".

In your duplicate thread on the M50M board, you said that stunting in Michigan is dead, and that you're basically here to ressurect it. lol... There are still plenty of real stunters with a tremendous amount of skill like Schwartz, Dizzo, Hinks, Standy, and others who don't need to publicly suck themselves to try to convince people that they're good. Their skills speak for themselves.

Look Jay Im not here to argue with you....

What I have done inthe past speaks for it's self...... I never said I was here to ressurect it.. I know who good riders are and I will have them at shows... I dont need anyone to tell me that they are good... I know hinks and standy and I have talked to them in the past... and Yes Nick will ride for me at shows... I never said anything like that!!!

All I said is that there are not a tremendous alot of shows or competions booked.. And thats what i do best... Take a Look around.. And be honest with yourself... Scooter Trash was doing a show every weekend last year sometimes 2 venues a weekend... Now what... I'mnot saying it has anything to do with me.... Wheres the XSBA wheres NSRA... All I am tryingto do is Enjoy the sport and have fun.. And show people who havent seen this the sport!!!
I am not here to bad mouth anyone or anything... I am doing my thing and if no one likes it FUC* THEM. I Have Boked 8 shows for this summer and I am sure that they will go off without a hitch.

Instead Of being pissy about what I am doing why dont you come and ride or stay home and dont.... I personally dont care one way or another... there will be lots of people who will come out regardless..

I Have not tried to pick a fight But I am tired of you trying to basterdize my Thread. So my argument is done .... Come or Not!!!

Sonic Jay I understand your worries and concerns and they are noted... I do not want to do anything that would endanger anyone at all!!! At the same time you do not have to go out of your way to bash me!!!

Im Here for the Fun!!! and the Enjoyment of riding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey ChoCha point taken and noted... I am saying that there will be people riding big bikes and afterwards a Stutn Show.... I understand where everyone is coming from with this argument and my point is that I have been reassured that everything is taken care of if anyone is to stunt on the way there and the saftey of the public will be taken care of by the City. I am sure there will be a certain area for stunt riding if this is to go down in the Parade... I nor anyone will not know all the logistics till the day of the Parade. So I understand the 50''s situation is always better...

So just come and have fun!!!! Bring watcha ya got and have fun!!!

Daryl, We all wish you the best, I'm sure no-one here means any harm, do your thing. Just of course watch out, and note all the riders abililties before letting them out on big bikes. You promote it, your responsible for it, you know this already.

Jay, I'm sure you are freaked out being a parent, but Daryl is a parent too(a damn good one at that), I'm sure he already thought of that aspect, and I'm sure Daryl will take all of these points of view as help, not criticism or being ridiculed

Re: Wanna Ride In Paradee and Stunt Show

Thanks for the props, Sonic. I agree with both opinions, but I have to say that if there is gonna be some stunting, confine it to a dedicated area where spectators know what is happening. Daryl is a good guy that has always been good to me, so I mean no disrespect to him in my opinion.....just a thought I had. If there is a dedicated spot that is safe for spectators and riders alike, I think it will be a good event......but the FTP attitude needs to stay at home if we expect to see positive reaction from the non-riding public. Just my

Yeah I totally agree and thanks Keith!!!!! I have been reassured that there is going to be metal fencing or cement barriers or some kind of protection down throught a part of the parade and that we could ride and do wheelies... if this doe not happen then we will not stunt till we get down to the dedicated area!!! I understand where everyone is coming from and I agree..
I dont want to see anyone hurt or take a chance for maybe 30seconds of fun for riding a wheelie!!!!

On another note keith I have some buisness for you!!!! Cages about 5-6....
I miss your *** havent seen you around!!!! Whats going on!!! I am going ot call you and hope fully come out and see you this week!!!!

Hey Daryl, you know what you could to as well is put some nice show bikes in the parade. You could set up the stunt show at a nice secure location, and get some of the guys with the flashy bikes or race bikes to ride in the parade. That way you get a few different aspects of sport riding. You can cover stunting, maybe some race bikes, and maybe some show bikes. The 50's would be killer though!

Oh, and I would watch out with them saying the city will cover it. Chances are, if something goes wrong, that person will sue your paints off. Even if you have it in writing that you are not responsible, it could still happen. In this day and age, everybody is sue happy

Lawyers are more greedy than the people, they'll find ways if something goes wrong, so this statement is very true. They'll take everyone down
