Crash n Burn
So I thought i'd take my baby out for one more midnight run, before i get my new bike tomorrow. Had a good ride, was on my way back home when i took the corner at jefferson and sugarbush (not going fast, just taking it slow) and hit a nice patch of gravel (that covered the whole road) fishtailed, went down, my leg under the bike, and skidded on my back for about 10 feet.
So i've survived my first wreck, but my bike is fawked
my knees all messed up, (looks like theres a softball in place of my knee cap) and my hip is bruised to all hell (and a lil bit scraped up)
As far as i can see, the bikes damage is all cosmetic. No cracked pannels, just scratched.... think its time for that paint job!!
So anyhow, i'm a bit shaken up, but i thought i'd share it with ya'll
Think i'm gonna have to hold to get my new bike til i get this one fixed

Re: Crash n Burn
I had almost the same accident last summer. I skidded out on a patch of gravle, and got bad rash on my legs and arms and chest. The best thing is to get some burn cream if its open wounds and take somne vicoden, and go the **** to bed!
I still have little scars, but its always a good story.

Glad your ok.
Re: Crash n Burn
That same corner almost got me last year. I was making a run down Sutton, and turned onto Jefferson then to Sugarbush to loop back. That corner always has gravel, I got lucky and rode out the slide, but it was close. Glad to hear your okay!
