Lil Help
Does anyone know about installing a radio in a 2004 Grand am. There is a seperate wire that needs to be hooked up to the fuse box or something for accessory power. Cause the gm's don't have a 12 volt wire to hook up to the wire harness. Anyone know about this or can help?

a radio installer would know
"due to the fact that a switched 12-volt accessory lead does NOT existin the factory harness, an accessory source must be located. Using the seperate red wire, locate an accessory power source in the vehicles fuse box"
Re: Lil Help
An accessory wire would be any +12 volt wire at the fuse box which has power when the key is turned backwards to the accessory position and +0 volts when the ignition key is in the off position.
Make sure you tap in after the fuse however so this wire will be fuse protected.

Re: Lil Help
OR .. when u pull your radio out .. to the left hand side is your ignition harness.. pull it up from the side and use a razor blade to cut back some of the tape... grab the pink or orange wires in there and tap into those... that will work too ... :YEAH
