You get a 2.8Ghz P4 processor with this Dimension 8300 now, with the faster 800Mhz system bus (instead of 400Mhz or 533Mhz). It`s built on an i875p motherboard with 8x AGP, 4 PCI slots, two S-ATA ports, 10/100 NIC, and Dolby Digital capable 5.1 sound output. It comes with 256MB of 400Mhz dual channel DDR SDRAM, a 40GB 7200RPM hard drive, a 128MB Geforce FX 5200 AGP card with VGA & TV output, Windows XP Home, and a 1 year in home warranty. They`re also throwing in a 16x DVD-Rom drive and a 48x32x48 CD-RW drive for your 2nd media bay. It`s $899 - $150 rebate, with free shipping.

Start here at this specific Dell Dimension 8300 configuration. DELLSB
The options for the lowest possible cost are already selected. Add the rebate and freebies:
$150 MAIL-IN REBATE! (double memory promo not valid!)
Dual Drives: FREE! 16x DVD-ROM Drive + 48x CD-RW Drive [subtract $1]
Add whatever options you may want, though it may raise the price. Here are a few that we may suggest:
80GB Ultra ATA/100 Hard Drive (7200 RPM) [add $40 or $1/month]
New 128MB DDR ATI RADEON™ 9800 Pro Graphics Card with TV-Out and DVI [add $130 or $3/month]

Im with Jay on this one. I have a Dell and will never again buy one. Call tech support and it takes an hour on hold to talk to someone, then when you do they are from India. I bought my phuckin computer in America , and no I dont want to speak to someone in India. How about someone who has spoken English all their life. I can't understand you when it sounds like you are chewing on cotton while you're speakin to me. So yeah DELL SUCKS ***!
