DSR vs. REDLINE update
DSR vs. REDLINE update

Re: Sports challenge
I’ll sticky this to several threads, so you may see it more than once.
Spirits livened for a challenge is great motivation for a sporting event. We succeeded in doing that and were happy to accept a friendly challenge with DSR. The high spirits have turned into such aggression it now seems inevitable to have an “accidental” injury while playing an unsupervised game. Nearly all members of Redline have dependents and financial obligations (more than a bike payment), which can’t be jeopardized should there be such an incident. On behalf of Redline I am now canceling the game on the 12th.
Alternative #1: An unsupervised softball match, set first week of November. Reasoning: Non-contact sport, preventing any accidents. Also it will allow the majority of members who are away on club functions, to participate in the event.
Alternative #2: A supervised football match supporting a children’s charity (hence our future members). This match will be around $30 per person. The money will go towards a T-shirt for each player, area rental, and $10 donated to a foundation such as MDA, St. Jude, etc. DSR and RSB will use their account funds to flip the bill for any remainder costs. If this is accepted I’ll talk to our sources to get a write up in the Detroit News, publicized by 93.1 and the best part…free pizza. Additionally, we can have an interview with channel 7 if we have a significant donation. That is definitely good publicity for both clubs.

If you guys don't want to play than DSR will just play each other.
Supervision and publicity prevents cockyness, and publicizes the a-holes for who they are, if they decide to be an a-hole. Without supervision, or playing in a non-contact environment, we will let your team "play with each other".
Glad to hear you contributed to a charity this season, maybe you can give to charity next year and play RLSB. When you are ready to schedule a game let me know and I'll plan ahead. As I said before "I" will arrange for a write up in the paper, publicity through 93.1, and with a min $500 donation we will get 5 seconds of fame on TV.

how is a supervised game any safer than a non supervised, a tackle is a tackle. If you guys don't want to play than DSR will just play each other.

. Since you don't want to play on legit terms, now it seems more likey that you are hiding your true intentions of the game.ie, originally this was a playoff of clubs...no said sport was mentioned. Now that there are "rules, supervision, and worthwhile cause", you say we are weasels. What sounds more sneaky, having a publicized event, or calling someone a **** sucker and then saying you'll play fair?

it seems to me like there is going to be a grudge match on the field instead of a football game
