Question Selling a bike on Ebay

Has anyone here ever done it or know any one that has?

I am debating on whether or not to put my bike up on E-bay before I put it in Cycle Trader and other local papers..

Just looking for some advise as on how to do it, and not put myself into a position to get ****ed over.....

My brother in law sold his 2002 Fat Boy on ebay; it sold in the first day and worked out great. Every buyer is different, but it worked out great for him. The guy was out of state and sent a truck up to crate it and deliver it, etc. I also sold a couple of my scooters on ebay. One sold to a guy from out of state and he actually drove here to pick it up. I believe the vehicle commission is capped, unlike the regular auctions.

Well I found a bike I was interested in.. I talked to the seller a few times over the phone. We worked out a final price that I would pay.

There were already bids on the bike, so I outbid everybody and then he closed the auction right away. I sent him a $200 deposit, he sent back a "receipt" that had some terms on it (don't know how legally binding it was but it was a nice gesture), and then in about 3 weeks (cuz of school) I trucked out to PA to pick it up.

I inspected the bike the best my novice *** could, paid him the difference in a cashier's check, and U-hauled it back.

sold the f3 to some kid local and the 750 is getting shipped to hawaii. I think you will get more exposure from ebay than cycle trader

Within 24 hours the bid is up to 1,400. Hopefully it keeps climbing. Send me a PM if you want some advice.

If you sold the F3 to Dave then I've got it. Runs great, I love it.

My dad sold a customized Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 for $7500 (he was expecting around $5000), and a '86 Honda Magna for $7000 (he was expecting less than $1000 since it wasn't running!)

I'll probably put my Goldwing up on e-bay if it doesn't sell easily locally.

Like someone said...you can sell bags of **** on e-bay and someone will buy it!

I'm none other than the #1 BW (Stacy)

Eccentrick is a sportbike group that is newly developing. They have mostly R1's and stuff... they're a fun group. I help them with their website and take pictures for it.

check them out at www.eccentrickbikes.com
And the cruncy piece thing... well i don't really have a bike but my friend has let me ride his bike a couple of times so its all i got for now. I hope to be getting one as soon as the money situation gets figured out

That website is way too slow to get around on........ But the blue color on the intro screen is cool.
