this sheds a little more light on what happened. Doesnt sound like it was the trucks fault this time.

well speeding through traffic is not a healthy thing. every one does speed but there has to be a limit sometimes. it's a tragic moment but every action we choose has a consequence. wether good or bad. I've been through moments like this seen my best buddy got hit by a bus one for acting like he was the sh***t I saw the whooe scene it was nasty. he was messed up for a year. I was as crazy as him. but after that it all changed. that how I got my motto: NEVER TRY NEVER , TAKE THE RISK BUT BE SMART. I'd like to say sorry again to his family and firends out there.

R.I.P. to the fallen riders love to the familys and there in my prayers
Not that it matters, but it's interesting to hear two sides of the story. A post on the redline board:
"Yesterday, on my way home from work I saw theaftermath of a fatal accident on Plymouth Rd. near the Southfield freeway in Detroit. The rider was on what looked like a silver R-1. According to people at the scene (I must have been the 4th or 5th person to drive up, just after it happened), he was weaving in and out of traffic going about 70-80 mph (during rush hour), and sped thru a light as it was turning red, and ran right into the side of a pickup that was turning left onto a side street. Both the cages and us bikers need to be more careful, especially on these busy city streets. I ride down Plymouth alot, and have seen many accidents (bikes, pedestrians, and cages) from people using the far right lane as a passing lane to beat others thru the traffic light. Sorry to rant, but it was a terrible sight to see, and I heard some of his boys were riding down Plymouth and saw him there, mangled and lying in the street."
Either way though, sucks.
