Re: Rider down on Clay

I was down there, it happened right in front of me. Some f*cked up ****, I cant get the image or sound out of my head. He was a friend of a friend of mine. Here is what was posted on the detroit sportbikes forum:

23 yr old male, 2nd gear stand up (100mph or so) endoed the bike hard to avoid a blazer that pulled off the curb into his lane. myself and a few other members of DSB witnessed the entire thing. he was unconscious @ the scene. myself and another member nearly had to fight to keep the crowd from trying to roll him over and remove his helmet. he was admitted by ambulance to detroit receiving hospital where he had emergency surgery to repair internal bleeding. i guess he flat lined in the ambulance but was revived only to flat line again in the OR. he is on life support and brain scans show no activity. he is scheduled for another CT scan within the next 6 hours, but its not looking good. that is all the info i have at this time. i will update as i learn more.....

Re: Rider down on Clay

Sorry to hear about this, but that's why I stay away from there. It would appear that Clay is the bermuda triangle for common sense, because most people down there have none. Hope he makes it through. The worst part is the fact that half of the people that saw and/or heard about this will be talking about it all summer.......probably while sitting in Royal Oak with the next destination being Clay. Some people never learn.

Re: Rider down on Clay

No they do not that is for sure, and I am sure it will be the new topic down there since they cant go back to the spot for the season!!! Or they will squid it up at yellow since that is the new squid spot I hear about all the time in Royal Joke, wonder who we can thank or letting that spot out!

Happened last year too. Now it makes more sense that I never ride. I'm thinking about selling my f4i for a highway killer.

Hope the guys(person) pulls through, but like Andy already explained, We have all been there and we were smart enough to move away from that retarded clay scene(Royal Oak on crack), and the others just bought boats, or even some had projects like Road Warriors......hahahahha

So much for that low center of gravity giving you better balance.
