jetting

anyone know anyuthign about jetting, raw dawg and dave and i ripped my bike apart tonight and plugs are white meaning way to lean. how much should i adjust the jets. we were thinking from 140 and 138 to 144 and 142. Any input appretiated.

???Are you lean at idle or mid range or top end. You must know these thing before I can answer these things. At idle it has nothing to do with your main jets...............

do you think it would be better to do a jet kit or just adjust the needles, also if i put in a jet kit is it necessary to have it dyno tuned??

you can not just adjust a stock needle. and no it does not have to be dyno tuned. Are you puting a pipe on it?

ok now i am fuggin confused, i installed the dynojet jet kit and it still has a dead spot at around 6-9000. WTF. Anyone know about carbs have anyideas what to look for now, i reallt dont want to have to spend anymore money on this POS b4 i sell it.

did you put the jets in that it called for... when you have a full system????? read the paper that comes with the jet kit,it tells how to adjust for to lean or rich,or a lean spot etc.
if that doesnt work then its probly somthin else dude!
