Never used it before. I need advice. Two people need to pay me for something. Instead of driving an hour away for a couple places, I want to set up paypal.

How should I set it up? Personal, business? Just one time thing I want to do, and if I do that do they take a percentage out, and how long does it take for the transaction to complete.

Business they taka an extra 2 percent or something though...

I have mine set up as it's own bank account just incase someone hacks PP. Think the trans fee is 3% I always tell peeps to add 4% to cover the fees. It's a good idea but thre (PP) is making a killing with all the fees. You get your money pretty much instantly unless they send the PP as an Echeck then it takes a few days. PP will let you know when the money clears.

 

Ok so I set up a personal account, the cant pay cc but can pay Debit. no charge. right? am I right?

 

I know it's free to the sender they don't charge you to send or recieve money on a personal account

I thought so too but I just read that on the site..maybe that's only when people pay for auctions with their credit cards? I know i have to pay to recieve money when i sell stuff on ebay but I guess not so much when the auctions aren't involved I guess

Thats it , when you get paid from auctions off ebay they charge you 2%

 

They charge you whenever you recieve money be it from an ebay auction or whatever reason. They don't charge you to send funds.

 

Thanks Guys. Think I am going to set up a personal one. I am not using it from an auction, just money for the company. 2% is not bad, way cheaper than gas money. Rather do that.
