New bike cost, dynamic

Dyanmic is quoting me at 12 grand total (plus change) for that CBR1000RR.

Doesn't that seem a little high to anyone else?

It seems high to me, but dealers aren't giving as good a deals as they have been in the past years. Try Roseneau Powersports... Go in and ask for Aaron. Don't call on the phone because you will get no where that way. The last time I checked, they were asking like $11.5K OTD.... that was about a month or so ago.

Be careful with that dealer. There prices seem good, but when you add in the other factors, they aren't any better than anyone else. On top of that, you just took a road trip and possibly end up saving $50-100 bucks. You still have to pay Tax-title-and plates when you get back here. Plus they sometimes add a setup charge. I called them when I was ready to buy my Busa back in January. They wanted $10,079 OTD (what they quoted me over the phone). After tax, title, plates, and gas to get there and back.... I saved a couple hundred buying it here at Roseneau.

I ran into the same thing with the dealer in Chicago. They throw in assembly, freight, and other BS charges. By the time it is all said and done, better to help out the local guy.

:werd: That's the scam. They hit you up for that ****, once you've already driven all the way out there, figuring you will think "****, I've already driven out here, spent the money on gas, took a day off work, etc" and you'll just sign. And it works.

Then I like to say, wasn't it nice to waste all your time selling and prepping a bike that I'm not going to buy. I just love taking scenic drives to nowhere for no reason. I think I'll go to taco bell now....

I bought my ZX10 from Honda East. They are a great dealer and it only cost me $8700 OTD!!! You still have to pay the taxes here, but nobody in MI could come close to beating them.

I think the reasoning is they sell for volume, and in the motorcycle industry volume dealers get rebates from the factory. Unlike the automotive industry where the rebates are usually across the board.

That's because you fall asleep in about 4 minutes, then I sneak into your mom's room, and then 15 minutes later, I bounce. You never notice.
