Re: Wirless Net Working Questions

Check out Linksys.

It's easy to set up if you don't know much and they have good range.

No router yet.. I need a router and a card... So are these things all about the same speed..... I just keep seeing peeps talk about distance... Which Im not too concerned about.... I could have one that reaches 50 feet....

Re: Wirless Net Working Questions

I have linksys, works fine 75% of the time...

At times it disconnects and I have to re-connect...

Can be a pain but for the most part it works...

Dude, the Linksys set up is solid. I have wireless running between three houses on the same connection without issue. I think your right in my neighborhood, let me know and I can even come by and set it up for ya.

Re: Wirless Net Working Questions

Linksy's is the only way to go. I had Belkin before, and it sucked, my brothers computer which is exactly below me just 1 floor down, could never get signal.

And we had a damn good network card. Bought a Linksy's router and that **** is solid, he always had 100% signal, maybe 90% signal on a bad day.

Re: Wirless Net Working Questions

I work at a help desk and I cringe when I hear DLINK....

Linksys and Netgear are always solid.

I favor a Mac address filtering and maybe filtered Wep ....

Only just because I'm lazy and hate to put in my security keys......
