Try explaining that to a dealer on trade in ......."its been all taken apart and put back to gether and may not be road worthy"!!
From what I know about salvage titles......Skeee is the 2nd owner..meaning he has no idea why it was given this title (If he would have crashed it and bought back from insurance company ...it would have a clear title and he would b responsible if someone was injured if he sold it defective) .Ya the guy who he bought it from said "Ahh man it was just layed down". Well thats fabricated alot of times to get a sale!!!! Alot of times ...........a bike is given a salvage title because there was frame damage or front forks were mangled and would cost too much to fix..which in turn some schmo buys and try's to fix ( whether hes is right or wrong) and make a profit on it. These title are risky and extremely hard to resale unless they go for really cheap.
Just my

But what it comes down to is unless itsw cheap only salvage bikes you should buy are from poeple you know well enough, and even then this bike is overpriced for the simple fact of its resale value

I have a 2002 GSXR with a salvage title, wasn't a thing wrong with the frame, forks or motor. Was all plastic damage but to expensive to fix. Also I did own it when this happened and it still was given salvage title. I argued with everyone at state farm and was told it had to have a salvage title... O well they paid more for the bike than I did so I guess 4k in the bank after fixing it was worth it...

who cares if it is a salvage title. if you get it aprazed it is worth what ever you get it aprazed for. and the insurance company will cover it for that. so if you like it get it ,if you dont dont. i see bikes with salvage titles go for big bucks all the time. if you can plate it ,it is good for the street. so it looks nice out so i am taking out the new busa. later

Everyone should care.... If you dont know the actual history of a bike (meaning you dont know the previous owner and what caused the salvage) then you should not buy it.. . I sure as hell would not want to be riding around on 2 wheels and not fully understanding how good the structural integrity of my bike is.. Regardless of how good of a deal I got... People pull some fast **** just to get bikes titled to make a buck and i would hate to be coming out of a wheelie or busting through a quick corner to have my bike break apart on me just cuz I tried to save a few grand....

Kinda like when you get a ticket for window tint and then you just go have your cop buddy sign off on it... same senario....

I'd say salvage title is bad news and 9 out of 10 peeps are goona shy away from buying your bike.
Apprasial shamazzzilll...when the apprasial peeps find out it has a salvage title prolly wont insure it anyhow. Apprasial values are fabricated anyhow........ meaning nothing unless your an antique!! So please define apprasial value...when my bike got stolen i got way more than i should of and all's i needed was reciepts and had no apprasial??????
