Kissed my baby good bye.
Kissed my baby good bye.
Sold my first bike over the weekend to a friend of mine. Not a big deal really, it was a starter bike. Just sentimental value more than anything. It was a 96 Yamaha Seca II with 3800 miles.
Anyway, I had some work done on it over the past couple of weeks. I had the wheels powdercoated and put a set of new Bridgestone BT45's on it. I got the powdercoating done at QC Coatings, and got the tires from Cafe Concepts. Tony over at Cafe is a really good guy, even offered me his trailer to tow my bike out to the buyer. If anyone needs anything done to their bike, I highly recommend Cafe. The guys over there will do a good job, and they handle business like your a friend not a customer.
I'll be taking my F4i over to Tony soon for a manual cam chain tensioner, and maybe some other things.
Thanks to The Wizz for recommending QC Coatings. It took a long time, but it was worth the wait, the wheels looked great.

Yea, Tony at Cafe Concepts sold me some tires too. Competitive prices and friendly knowledgeable service...damn I sound like commercial. Anyway, he's a great guy and I highly recommend going to see him if you need any work done.

HA HA. I actually bought it in 2000 from Anderson's, it was an overstock with 0 miles on it. Rode it for one year, and got a F4i. It's been sitting in my garage, ever since I got the F4i, I barely rode it.
Well, it was to a close friend of mine, so I gave it to him for $2200. That included the powder coated wheels and new set of tires which set me back almost 400 total. He got a helluva deal on it. But I got the option to buy it back if he decides to upgrade later next year. I probably will to be honest with you. I loved that bike. Not fast, not the best looking, but so comfortable and easy to ride. Just a fun nice little ride.
