reserve tank?

How many miles do u have left after the gas light comes on? Im curious because i just got off work coming from Romulus, just a little past metro airport. The light came on as soon as I left work and made it to my house 16 & gratiot. I also checked the gas tank and there was still a little bit let in there ruffly a pint.

I think there's only a gallon in there. So for most bikes, that'll give you an extra 40-50 miles.

I got stuck on the side of the road once cause I forgot how to switch it over to the reserve.

Doesn't surprise me, If you rode it more than once a year you would be more familiar with your bike.

Pint:A unit of volume or capacity in the U.S. Customary System, used in liquid measure, equal to 16 fluid ounces, 28.875 cubic inches, or .473 liter.

Re: reserve tank?

I thought usually a reserve was only a 1/2 gallon at the most. So most bikes it gets you 20 miles, 30 max(If you ride nice). I've been pulling 55-60 mpg lately because I limit down-shifting and try to keep rolling.

A pint isn't metric. If it is, then what is 1/10 of a pint? what is 10 pints? Why are there 2 pints in a quart, 8 pint is a gallon, 2 cups to a quart? The metric unit of volume is the Liter. If you don't belive me:http://www.onlineconversion.com/volume.htm
What's it say next to the 3 diffrent standard pints? Not metric.

Re: reserve tank?

I ran out on 96. I had to push my bike down the freeway and up the on ramp to find a gas station.

Re: reserve tank?

Doesnt really matter.. Depends on how high of RPMs you ride once the light comes on..
