Need some help.

Anyone out there able to help me change the chain on my bike. I can do most work to it, but I really have no idea about changing the chain. If you can help let me know. I do not want to have to pay a shop to do it they are outrageous, and it takes a couple days or more it always seems.

HOW MANY miles on chain and sprockets ?

should change them as a set ! other wise the sprockets are gonna wear your new chain in no time

The bike only has about 5500 miles, but the chain looks bad. Last year I was in an apartment, and it was stored outside, with a cover.

Lubed it at least once a year.

So what does it just need to be cleaned. How do I go about doing it, and what is the best lube for the chain to use.
