What Could Be The Problem With My Bike?
What Could Be The Problem With My Bike?
I have started it about 2 weeks ago..no problems..started right up...idled good ect.. I went to start it today and it starts...but the idle is very ruff...and the rpms..stay at about 1 1/2 when i try to give it alittle gas...just dies out... Just to cold? The plugs were just changed less then a month ago.. Its getting fuel..the tanks on...Any ideas?
ya I know what it is I forgot the name of the part but when I had my F3 i got ride it but I had to give it gas very slow but when I got on it , it just boged out and died it has somthing to do with the electricl system its like a 70 dollor part
I'm willing to bet that your plugs are fouling again......I would charge the battery (the f3 needs a good battery to make good spark), replace the plugs again, and if you can, drain the carbs. On the bottom of each carb there is a drain screw...open 'em up and drain each one. It should run ok after that. Also, don't start it if you aren't gonna ride it. You'll drain the battery again and foul the plugs.
If they were fouling..would the bike even start? I did notice that today when i tried to start it..it backfired once. To drain the carbs..im gonna have to remove one of my fairings...should prob just pull my plugs and see if i have any black on um and check that. Batter is a possibility..when i turn the key though..everything clicks on no problem.

Eventually I just replaced the damn thing and it was fine...You might wanna try that..
im thinking pretty much the plugs or just one plug..because..it'll start...and run and just idle really low..and once i try to give it some gas...it dies...then i'll try to start it back up..and it backfires and smells of gas. thats pretty much what happened when they fouled out last time..so i think im just gonna pull um out and see if their black. If they are..then theres the prob.. Thanks for the help fellas..if its not the plugs..i'll be asking again...(better be the ****ing plugs lol i can afford 30$ ...i cant afford a 70$+ part lol)
lol

bike problems
Spark plugs??=Usually when it backfires this means you are getting fuel and spark. Are the plugs wet?(flooded)By the way you should check all the plugs for spark and discoloration before you replace them=How old is the gas in the tank?Fuel can break down=if it's old drain the old and replace with new=clean out carb bowls with fresh gas=Did you put stabilizer in the tank?It could be moisture in the fuel that is causing a rough idle=go to your local auto parts for the moisture problem=When you try to start it leave the throttle alone!Let it warm up just idling(if possible )See what your RPM's do after awhile=Last but not least=It's too damn cold!!!

It also might be your black box (brain).. My F-2 did crap like this, then I would disconnect it and like bang it on the ground, plug it back in and the bike would be fine.. Then eventually it wouldn't start at all.. It would get power, crank, and sometimes do the same thing yours is (idle rough & backfire), but never completely start or run right..
Eventually I just replaced the damn thing and it was fine...You might wanna try that..
