I heard there was a younger Chesterfield cop that got hit by a car while directing traffic by Selfridge.....supposed to be at Mt.Clemens General right now...

A section Hall Road (M-59) is closed in Harrison Township after a police officer was hit by a possible distracted driver near the Selfridge Air Show Thursday afternoon.

The 34-year-old Chesterfield Township officer -- whose name was not released -- was standing along Hall Road and Gratiot Avenue to direct traffic for the air show at Selfridge Air National Guard Base when the crash occurred at about 1 p.m., Local 4 learned. A man driving east on Hall Road glanced at the Blue Angels in flight -- instead of watching the road -- and pinned the officer against his patrol car, according to police.

 

i just talked to my buddy who is a clinton township cop and he said the cop was just standing there and,GO FIGURE, some LADY just took him out. He doesnt know the cops name or anything but he said he pretty messed up.

 

can't be him, they said it was a 9 year veteran.......

Actually it was an 87-year-old man, don't mean to be a women activist, but this was an old guy that caused the accident.
