It prolly has to do with DRQ was gettin the ratings it should be getting. But I dont know if this new bullshit will get that good of rating either.

I listen to Classic Rock too so I don't mind more of those stations but this new 93.1 is kinda like keeping your radio on scan all the time...not sure if I like it

 

Yesterday i woke up to some regae ****, and today it was like hall n oates.. I keep forgetting to change the station before i go to bed... the new station is crap...

The lady I work for is a top dog at clear channel and she said that 93.1 didn't change format for any reason, they just decided to go a different way. Radio stations change format often actually, but there hasn't been one this big in a long time in detroit. They fired the whole morning staff except jay towers, hes now music director for the time being (until they find a new staff) then he'll prolly be gone too. But they haven't decided for sure on the new format or morning show... they're still working on it.

And 95.5 is gonna blow up now cause both the stations got $$ for advertisment in the 18-24 age group, and now 95.5 is the only station targeting that age group.. so you can probably expect them to be everywhere.

 

It's so gay gay gay!!!! I HATE doug FM, i hope theey lose a whole bunch of investers and sponsors. This is a real big thumbs down move, i'm going to boycott clear channel

 

Oh sorry.. guess i should have specified that... clear channel owns 95.5.. so she was all happy about it.. 93.1 is thier competetor...or was....and yes, i have to agree.. i wasn't very fond of 93.1.. but doug Fm SUCKS!!
