r u back to work at honda of warren?im having problems w/ my 50, it wont start and gas keeps ending up in the hose connected to the airbox. i was wondering if that could be under warranty, its only 4 months old, is there even a warranty on the crf 50?

 

The CRF's have a 6 month warranty from the time of purchase.

 

**** that means i have like a week or two. i got it in mid october

 

aiight, i took the carb apart to check the float, that seemed fine, then i took the airbox apart and found that the filter was drenched in gas, what could cause that??

 

i squeezed alot of oil out of the filter, could i have put to much oil in when i changed the oil?

 

i'm not andy, but he will be at the shop tomorrow and then he goes back wednesday or thursday the 23rd. or 24th. he wasn't sure when but my best answer would be to take it up there tomorrow. i'm his answering service

 

cool. yeah i messed around w/ it for an hour or too. found oil in the filter, cleaned that up. still wouldnt start, checked the spark plug, and it was black as hell. cleaned it up, put it in, started right up. but the plug also reeked like gas. and was black as soon as i took it out again. i dont know if its suppose to smell that strong of gas, maybe an air/fuel mixture is bad or somethin. either way its messin the plug up real quick

 

give me a call up at the shop tomorrow. The number is 586-751-1010. Chances are, if its a fuel problem, it won't be warranty, but I'll get you pointed in the right direction.
