This is probably one of the first posts where there is no sick picture or stupid joke

This really helped my cable modem speed. I guess there is an issue with windows service pack 2 and broadband internet. So here is how you fix it:

I went from 503K down, 384k up to 4323K Down and 397 up

First: Go to this link Event ID 4226 Patcher v2.11 <-----------------click

and install the file at the bottom, follow directions after restart your computer


Second: TCP Optimizer <------------Click
Download the first file which is TCP optimizer run it and at the bottom of that program choose OPTIMAL settings click apply . it will restart your computer.

then BAM!!! your internet is blazing fast
