Nextel 2-way #'S
Just an FYI for you guys. Nextel's National Two way will be active by the end of the year. By the end of February Michigan will be "rolled out" out on the first stage of the program. Meaning if several of you go to another city that has the program rolled out you will be able to talk to each other AFTER you power off your phone and then turn it back on. BUT you will need the whole number like VncntMaher posted. I don't have the list of cities here but if ya'll want I'll post them tonight when I get home from work.

i heard nextels were pretty good. i have sprint and i hate the piece of crap!! also with nexels for your minutes, they count you for each second you use, not each minute. i am thinking about switching over to a nextel
It seems like whenever I try to get a hold of someone with a nextel I get that "please wait while the Nextel subscriber you are trying to reach is located." And then it goes straight to Voice Mail.
I have Verizon and I have never had a problem with it in 5 years-plus they have the best customer service around.

National Direct Connect
As of right now Boston, New York, Irvine (CA), Florida, and Philadelphia have stage one of National Direct Connect. By the end of February Oakland, Seattle, Phoenix, Chicago, Detroit and the Carolinas will be up.
March - Ohio, Atlanta, Texas, Denver, New Orleans, Kansas City, Minneapolis and Nashville
April - Syracuse, Hawaii
Once everyone is up on the 1st stage is will just be a matter of a software patch to make it TRUE nation wide.
But remember...when you go to an area that is up on phase one you need to power down your phone and then turn it back on. You will need the whole id...Area ID*network ID* Member ID....in order for it to work.
If any of you guys have questions about Nextel feel free to PM me and I'll answer them the best that I can.

I had T-mobile for 2 years and it was great. Never had an issue with service and it worked up north which was a plus. I now have Nextel and have problems with calls going through and the 2 way not always connecting. but thats just my
I've had a Verizon phone in the past for about 4 years and hated it. It being free was the only reason why I kept it. I averaged 30 dropped called a month and I hated the customer support, they just kept telling me to spend more money and get a better phone even though the ones I had were only a month or two old. Since I've gotten my Nextel I have only dropped one or 2 calls. And have only found 1 or 2 dead zones. just my $.02
