I personally think folks up here in michigan don't realize that the helmet law up here is truly a good thing. Moving up here from Indiana brought that thought, I have seen way too many people hurt because they "Didn't Have To" wear a helmet. I guess it's your choice, but until then, when's spring getting here!!!!!!!!!

Many actual numbers rather then just simple guesses on your part as far as increase or decrease in accidents and fatalities on helmet law are posted on the ABATE website, so before you say there will be more fatalities or accidents take a look, the numbers have actually gone down in states who have removed the helmet law. Also Insurance rates have not risen significantly if at all in states where the helmet law was removed.

Bottom line, this isnt about if you think wearing a helmet is right or wrong, its about being able to make a choice, as an adult weather to wear the helmet or not. If your for freedom of choice, you want the bill to pass, if you want the gov't telling you whats good for you and not giving you an option then you would want the bill to fail.

dude, SWEET!!!. in most cases, people that arent wearing a lid arent gonna be cannonballing down the freeway. . i think letting people have the option is nice.. now all i need is an endorsement.

Isn't it funny...........You don't have to wear a helmet on a bike but ya have to wear a seatbelt in a 3,000lb cage (vehicle).

Makes no sense...........I'm for it but will prolly stoill wear a lid 95% of the time.

i like the freedom to choose, but in this instance i like to be forced to wear a helmet. having the choice makes it to easy to say "i am just going around the corner, I dont need it" then before long its 160 mph blasts on 696 no lid.

This is a good thing IMO, i've ridden in FL and OH w/o problems, i hate sweating on a hot summer day in my helmet.

The only good thing about this is maybe for dream cruise, gratiot cruise or tooling around stoney or some ****.. but even then some ******** in a cage would prolly *** pack ya and **** ya up.. But its nice to have the choice given the right situation..

Yeah Steve I agre on the seat belt thing... .I am sure this will stir some **** up though in that sense..
