Centralia, PA.

I just moved up here from philly, bought some land pretty cheap. a house and a strip mall. It's a nice house except for some reason smoke keeps coming out of the ground. The people are really friendly and it never snows here. Anyone who lives around here want to go riding? The roads have a lot of cracks in em with more smoke coming out. but there are no cops and no cars anywhere. so as long as you stay out of the fieiry pits then you're ok.

That is actually a really interesting story (about the town). How long is it supposed to be burning for? 100-200 years sticks in my head. It's a strange place to see, though.

Re: Centralia, PA.

I don't see why it wouldn't snow. I can see if the snow won't lay on the ground a lot because of the internal heat, but I imagine it still snows there. There are still some people living there, only 44 I think. There are all kinds of conspiracy theories about it, too. Ok, enough from me..blah blah blah.......you can tell I don't get out enough.

Re: Centralia, PA.

I live about half an hour from centralia haha. That place is crazy! I go on route 61 all the time! there's like 6 houses left... if that. Retarded old people who are stubborn and have nowhere else to go. The fires aren't that close to the remaining houses... but a nice venture out towards the mines is quite interesting. and all those closed roads... mmmm nice. If only they were in better shape.. and weren't prone to opening up into a 100 foot drop onto burning coal. That would be a plus too!
