Pocket Bikes

Anyone know anything about law-enforcement and the use of pocket bikes in Minnesota?
Anyone ever get hassled by the police for using them on the city streets?
I see they are getting more exposure on the news in the past few months as being problems to others.
Any advice on em would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,
Oskin

Re: Pocket Bikes

I was pulled over on the U of MN campus by an officer and told that they were illegal on city streets. He also told me that they were not allowed on sidewalks. This leaves private property as the only legal choice. The other option is to just ride where the police are not. However, between the four pocket bikes that my friends and I ride on a regular basis we have been pulled over only twice even though we go by police on a regular basis.

Usually 49cc and under they can't do anything, unless your f ing off thn they can hassle you. 49cc and under don't have to be street legal since you don't need a special license to drive one. If i'm wrong i'm sorry, just passing on info that i was told.

technically i think they "could" give you a ticket for driving an unregistered/offroad vehicle on the road. but doubt they would do anything unless they were really ****** about it
