need some ideas for the minneapolis area

My girlfriend and I are coming up on our 1 year annivarsary for dating. I want to plan something special for her, but I'm not from that area. So my question is, can anyone recommend some good restuarants, and something romantic to do in the minneapolis area? I'm definitely not worried about money, as I want to make this really special. I was thinking something along italian for restuarants, and I kind of want to do the late night walk somewhere. I'm just not sure what minneapolis has to offer in that aspect. So if any of you have impressed your women up that way before, please help me out.

thanks in advance!!!

wanted to add one more thing while i'm thinking about this. she actually lives in the plymouth area, but i want to take her downtown minneapolis. I have heard some things about the "uptown" area. But not sure if that will be classy or not.

Talking Re: need some ideas for the minneapolis area

I would definately recomend down town minneapolis over the up town area.

Italian food: take her to the Maccoroni Grill off of 394 and hopkins cross road. They have an awsome menu and great atmosphere. The Olive Garden holds a close second.

Stuff to do:Take her to the Mall Of America, Knuckle heads is a 21 plus comedy club and is alot of fun. Also you have tha All American Sports Bar, Game Works, Plenty of rides and plenty of good resuraunts to choose from. You can take her bowling, shoot some pool and even play some video games at one of the arcades. Another top notch place is the Chanhassan Dinner Theater. The Madina Ball room is another decent place depending on who is performing and what your preffrences are for music.

The only dance club I like going to Any more would deffinately have to be Escape Ultra Lounge. Attractive crowd and good atmosphere.
The Drink is another decent club, but sometimes the dance floor gets so crowded, you cant wiggle your big toe. These clubs are both located on 1st ave. downtown..also sex world is a fun place to check out.(also on 1st ave.)

HOTELS: Take her to Fantasuites. This it a hotel where every room has a different theme.EX: They have a jungle room, a space ship room......get the picture?

I would be more specific but I don't Know much about you guys. Any ways, hope this helps and congrats on your anniversery.

p.s. any attractive ladies out there who thinks any of this stuff sounds like fun, send a pm.(shamless plug)

Re: need some ideas for the minneapolis area

mannys steak house, or ruths chris. for food.
lodging either the grand in mpls, millenium or the hyatt right out side on nicolet ave is a horse and carraige ride. perfect....
if you want to impress her this will do well.
also the bar "martini blue" is a nice up scale martini lounge.15+/cocktail, but classy lower level in the millenium hotel.
