Helmet law Protest
There will be a protest against the Helmet law that the state of Maine is trying to pass again. The protest will be at the Augusta State House in room 126 at 1pm. All riders opposed to the state telling you that you have to wear a helmet should attend. Feel free to voice your opinion there. United Bikers of Maine will be holding the protest. Please show your support and show up to let the state know you want the right to decide. Thanks for your support.
Re: Helmet law Protest
helmet laws are bullshit, if you have common sense you would probably wear it while you were stunting and maybe on long rides and **** anyways, but around town F**** THAT! i dont want to be stuck wearing a helmet all the time

One mistake might kill ya, but thats your choice. I agree with Zoomsplat. People shouldn't be made to wear helmets, they should be able to choose. If I want to cruise without a lid, I should be allowed too. I wish we could get a huge protest out here in MI and tell Granholm to
OFF. Re: Helmet law Protest
I think helmets should be mandatory in all states. Heres a situation I know of.
Man in a car bumped a guy on a Harley in a parking lot. Both were equally at fault. The guy on the Harley actually died because of his head hitting a curb. Would have been fine if he was wearing a lid. Now the guy in the car lives his life with the thought of having killed a motorcyclist even though he was not completely at fault.
I think not wearing a lid is just plain selfish. While it should be our choice about what we wear, it shouldn't be our choice on how we affect someone with that simple decision when it goes bad.
