I'm interested in doing a similiar design as yours. I saw your bike at our competition

1. The side plates are aluminum right, 1 inch thick?
2. Where did you get the alum from?
3. How about the thick-azz deleron material?

How do you like the setup, and any major problems or changes?

My side plates are 5/8 inch T6 aluminum and I got it from a tooling shop here in town, Northwest Tool. The pucs are made out of uhmw. I like the 3 inch diameter pucs, it takes a lot to were them down. The only thing I would change about it would be to mount the pucs about an inch or two higher. It stops the bike from rolling over in a crash like other cage designs do.

I think the setup is good, I think there is metal bar/tube between the plates, it's runs through the bike and connects these aluminium plates together(it goes trought the bike at the front of the cylinder block/head). It makes the whole system stronger as the forces are divided to both sides and the plates can't bend.

I think what is needed is suitable spacers, and long bolts, aluminium plates and metal tube with some metal plates welded to each end.

do u weld the plates to the frame? how is it set up on your 929? if u have any pics please post them

so it looks like u bolted the plates the the frame and then welded the pucks to the plate right?
