Hey cory, how do you have your EGCV (exhaust gas control valve) in the exhaust set up? right now mine is taken out an so it the flap in the air box and it runs like **** with the stock gearing. I am putting a 10 up on the back. how do you have yours set up? thanks.
Re: 929 egcv
I disconected all of the cables but I kept the all the valves in place. I left the airbox with the flap in the closed position and I wired the exhaust valve in the midrange position. I also used a different idle adjustment cable that runs inbetween the two throttle boddies for turning up the idle. I have tried all of the combinations of exhaust valve/airbox flapper positions and I prefered this one the best. I do have to let the bike get up to running temp before it will run good though.

Re: 929 egcv
My opinion is that the 929 springs are too soft for normal riding, much less stunting. I recomend getting much stiffer springs and then put in an inch spacer. Get heavier oil and use just a little less than recomended to help save the seals. Also make sure your headset is tight and don't forget the double H brake pads.
