I got a question, I know I could ask in general forum but those guys suck lol

I've got an 03 6ixxer and the subframes are bad on them, does anyone know where they are prone to breaking? I've got a couple of them now and would like to get one braced up and stronger. I'm not exactly a little guy so I need all the help I can get.

BTW I've picked up a Stuntex oil pickup tube and a 54t sprocket, so I'll be on my way soon enough just have to figure out how much chain to buy....

I couldnt tell ya on the subframe thing, never really seen an 03 up close.


good thinking on the oil pickup though, those suzukis need them! For the chain you should probably just get a 130 link and then take out some links once you size it up.

I flipped my clip-ons last night. BIG difference.
I haven't had a chance to hit the lot yet but I clutched up a couple on the way to work this morning and the front comes up so much easier without all my body weight leaning forward.

Should I get a longer screw for where the clip-ons mount to the triple, or is the pinch screw enough to keep them in place? I don't wanna be practicing stoppies and have a clip-on slide on me. That would not be cool...

what's up man, you're the guy I met on Dirby right (from Texas I think).

I DON'T think you need a 130 link.
On my F4i stock is 108 links with a 46 tooth sprocket. I went to a 62 tooth sprocket and I always get a 120 link and have about 6 links left over.

I think 120 links would be enough for you.




Jerry had an 05 gsxr he stunted and he ran a flat metal bar from the rearsets to the passenger mounts on the subframes and it helped alot
