Tha Alabama Bullshit Thread
Re: Tha Alabama Bullshit Thread
well, two wrecks tonight on I-59 just before the split with I-20.
I was with the bigger group that went to Lakeshore so I didn't see it happen but we drove over there and saw the bikes.
It's unclear if the first guy on an R1 was wheeling or not, but he got hit from behind by a car. As they crashed everyone else scattered and another car pulled over on a Busa. The R1 was in worst shape, busted the rear wheel like Brandons. The lady causing the reck pulled over, rolled down her window and ask if the dude was alright, but he didn't really answer cause he was just stunned or whatever so the lady just takes off and leaves. They said the two guys had on gear so they just got a little road rash. Edmund is gonna call me tomorrow and let me know how they are. He went to the hospital after them with a group of their buddies.

Jester from Alsportbike actually saw the wreck -
"
I was behind the R1 when it happened.. He was riding a stand-up and went into a wobble in the left hand lane, came down hard and went right infront of the lady in the middle lane. The lady in the car and I both were able to get on the brakes and goto the left to miss him.. He was never struck by a vehicle. The bike and the rider both went completely across the Interstate during heavy traffic and weren't touched... He's lucky.
The lady did stop and get out of her car. She was scared to death because she almost hit him. She went over and talked to the rider and then asked me if there was anything she needed to do. I told her that we all had cell phones and that I appreciated her stopping, but she would probably be safer if she got back on the highway before someone hit us both (we were on the inside shoulder of 20/59.) She was the only witness that stopped, so it was better that she left before the police got there...
Probably five minutes after the wreck, we managed to stand the guys R1 up right and about that time, we hear more tires screaching.. I looked over to see a Hayabusa trying to stop in the fast lane and a Cadillac sliding toward him. About that time, an SUV slams into the back of the Cadillac and pushes the Cadillac into the Hayabusa and drags him toward the inside retaining wall.
I was a nasty night.. I've seen alot of motorcycle wrecks in my day, but I can't remember ever seeing a motorcycle get that much air, tumbling end over end.
