I bought a 2ft x 2ft piece of 1/4 aluminum from industrial metals here in columbus. I paid $34 for it I think. I made the gussets out of cardboard 1st.....**** took FOREVER!! I cut one mount out with the bandsaw....again, took forever. The 2nd one I cut with the plasma cutter....took 30 seconds I'm trying to find some pics but going to eat right now.

 

HAHAHA. I was definately going to use the plasma i got at work.. I wasn't sure if i was just going to triangulate gussete to brace the mount to the frame, but your idea of going around the whole mount is good too. i may just steal that. You brace any of the neck/body of the frame?

I'm may got a touch overboard on mine I mean i am a squid..

 

I love my plasma cutter LOL, looks good andy.

 

I put a plate on the bottom in between the motor mount and the neck. Overboard is always a good thing
