no but it keeps your battery from staying charged... your fuel pump relay is shorting out or it is drawing to much current

Could be a rectifier. Went out on my R1, I charged the battery, went dead.. went and bought a new battery.. riding down the freeway the guages went out then a mile later went dead. Had to replace the rectifier/regulator.

 

nah bro, its the battery... i have a bad habit of leaving it on overnight and ****. since it doesnt have gauges i dont know its on

 

and loose cables... ^^^ did i mention loose battery cables which could shut your bike off if they come loose while riding... just to let you know that your battery cables were loose and were removed with out a tool...
when my bike was dying it was a wire from the battery to the fuel pump relay that was killing... wich a loose cable could do the same thing...

 

50.....I think you need to tear that whole death trap apart and reassemble making sure that everything is connected properly and working.

yeah it always comes loose. its missin a washer or sumthin. if you tighten it all the way down the shifter wont move
