you can use any honda front end. You can use a front end off an F3 if you want. Speaking of that, I know where an f3 front end is.. might need new fork seals though, its been sitting out in the weather for a while. I dunno about the gauges. I doubt you could pass inspection without em, Ryno would know. If you have to have something for inspection then you can get a ticket for not having it later by a cop if the cop wants to be an ***. I've run the roads with no gauges and had no problems when I got pulled over.

I call bs because I busted the tail light off the booger green 929. Then took it apart, painted it Blue/Black, tied up the light, up'd the orig. purchase price $300, and sold it. White light shining through the tail light and all.

That bike was on borrowed time. Easy.
