I dunno man.. i might try to get some riding in this weekend. I have had the plague all week and havent gotten out of the house other than going to work. If you guys are riding or drinkin this weekend give me a holla I need to do somethin. I think I am going to sign up for some projects at work that will have me working the next 3-4 weekends in a row.

Thats cool tho.. Congrats spence. Get your *** off the streets and wear your damn gear and this summer will be good to ya.

 

yupyup. hey, i maybe tearing my bike completely down this weekend so the frame can be painted.any tips as to wtf i am doing?

 

if this is the first time tearing your bike down, just take lots of pics of things as you are taking stuff apart that you can reference when you put it all back together. Also, have whoever powdercoats or paints your frame MAKE SURE all bolt holes, bearing races and any mating surfaces are masked off before painting. If not you are in for a world of pain scraping **** with an exacto knife.

Also, organize all of your nuts, bolts and screws in little baggies. Label them *****.

 

yeah, i was gonna take pics of everything and put all the **** in seperate baggies. i am having the whole shitbox powder coated GLOSSY black.....its gonna loook goooooooooood. but yeah, i am nervouse as hell about figuring out wtf to take a part and how the f *** to put it back together.

 

well if you need any help putting it back together give me a holla. I am gonna help spence swap his motor out this weekend. Make sure you have them mask off all the bolt holes and bearing races. That bike will never go back together if you dont. lol. Been there and done that... once with a chrome job and the other with a powdercoat job. I am talking hours and hours with a razor and file.

how much are you spending on all that powdercoating? I have a frame and swingarm I want to get done pretty soon.
