Woods Fun Center, Crooks
Woods Fun Center, Crooks
I found this post on the motohouston forum. I think Ryan would get a kick out of this, LOL
I owned a 2003 CBR 600rr up until 2 months ago when it was stolen. 2 weeks before it was stolen I took it to WOODS FUN CENTER to get it RE KEYED. They made me new keys and someone at WOODS made a key for themselves as well. Then a member of WOODS Fun CENTER (ALEX) I won't mention his last name, looked up my adress in the computer came to my apartment and used the key he made to steal my bike. I wouldn't of even known what happened if his stupid *** hadn't ran from the cops on my bike and as he ditched my bike, dropped his wallet as Well. Now when they went to his house in his garage the Detective (who recovered my bike) told me " We found more than 10 bikes all stripped". Now I'm just wondering if anyone else had keys made at WOODS and there bike came up missing. And when I went up there to speak to a manager , they blew me off and said they could " get me a deal on a new bike" thats it. So If you value your motorcycle Stay AWAY FROM WOODS FUN CENTER. **** WOODS
Sincerely ,
A guy who will never shop at woods again

Re: Woods Fun Center, Crooks
That guy Alex also was arrested for stealing a bike FROM Woods Fun Center (He was a salesmen for about 1 week). He got caught stealing the ZX-12 because he rode it to work, and parked it around the corner from Central Texas Harley Davidson @ Subway. Of course he was caught and arrested on the spot while at work.
The guy that posted the stolen bike article bought a brand new 2007 CBR600RR ***FROM*** Woods last Saturday. He also had made these posts on Craigslist. This is old news and was squashed over a week ago.
Jordo, You are an idiot. But come buy something from me, because we all want Hofesional Stunters that think their ZX-6's are two strokes to purchase from us. Dumbass.

Re: Woods Fun Center, Crooks
Too bad I didn't find this post several months ago. If I had more time on my hands I would have created a whole website about Woods Fun Center devoted to all the disgruntled customers that walk out of those doors and never come back.
I bought my 2nd motorcycle from Woods Fun Center in November 2006. I guess I didn't learn my lesson after buying my first one from them in 2005. It is a 2007 Yamaha Vstar 1300 Tourer. Around March 2007 I noticed a weird 'whizzing' noise that I couldn't solve. I brought it in and they had it for 2 weeks. It took them that long to find out that it was the drive belt. When I went to pick it up they insisted that I let them wash it. I had a funny feeling that something was going to happen and ...it did! The 16 year old porter that washed it scratched the paint around the tail light when he dried the bike. He also scratched the headlight area and one of the side covers. He rubbed and rubbed and rubbed until you could see black paint coming off on the rag. I couldn't believe it! At the time (and I have NO problem saying names) the GM, David Pearson who had just replaced the bad manager before him checked my bike out and offered to have it "rubbed" out professionally. I refused because they already rubbed enough paint out of it. I just took the bike and left. That really made me mad. I had just spent $10,800 on that bike. I didn't say another word about it until around August 2007 because I had two deaths in my family to deal with. I told David Pearson I wouldn't mind just getting a custom paint job and I asked him if he would pitch in $200 or $300 to cover the damage they caused. He agreed as long as I did it HIS way. Kranston Kincaid and Danny Lowe at Dream Cycle conned him into letting them paint my bike. Just go to their website. It is (or was) www.mydreamcycle.com. I just checked and it has been suspended. I hope someone finally got them busted. Anyway, they repainted my bike 3 or 4 times. David Pearson was too much of a greedy tightwad to get Southern Metal Choppers to do the job. He said he would pay $200 and I would pay $900 to have the thugs at Dream Cycle do it. I gave in which was a HUGE mistake. After 2 months of painting it over and over again I finally got the bike parts sent to Southern Metal Choppers where they found 5 dents on the gas tank that were patched up with Bondo. Later, a kid who worked at Woods Fun Center admitted to throwing my gas tank in a pile because Danny Lowe or Kranston Kincaid said "it will be painted anyway". Southern Metal Choppers had to PEEL the paint off because it never cured! That had me seething in anger! To make things worse, Southern Metal Choppers added another $300 or $400 to the job that I should have just had them do directly by leaving Woods Fun Center out of the loop. David Pearson did owe me for the damage he allowed to happen to my bike but I ended up with even MORE damage when I got the bike back! I got the bike back after over 3 MONTHS! I raised hell with the legal team at America's Powersports (they own Woods Fun Center) and they wouldn't lift a finger to help me. Also, David Pearson who said he hates HD (Harley-Davidson) bought Green Mountain Harley in Vermont (greenmtnharley.com) in December 2007, right after he did what he did to me. He said if those imbeciles had done that to him you would have had to "peel me off the ceiling". Believe me, It took everything in me to keep my cool. He took the blame for what happened and he said I wouldn't have to pay more than the agreed upon $900 that I shelled out to those idiots at Dream Cycle. He reneged on his part of the deal and told me I would have to pay the extra $300 or $400 myself because he "kept his end of the deal". The new GM who replaced David Pearson paid for the difference so I was still only out $900.99 which is what I had originally agreed upon.
After finding clearcoat overspray all over my motorcycle just recently I emailed info@woodsfuncenter.com about how I'm still bitter over what happened to me. Back in December, the new GM said he would have had just given me a new motorcycle. Why didn't he then? I will stay away from Woods Fun Center or any other motorcycle shop owned by America's Powersports. I don't care if I end up paying more for my next bike because I don't want to get screwed over again. Their employees end up working at their competitor's shops so they must hate Woods Fun Center as much as their customers do.
Okay, Southern Metal Choppers painted my bike and they did a pretty decent job. I doubt I'd take my bike back there either because the cocky 20 year old guy who painted it showed me how real fine steel wool "won't scratch" chrome by testing it on my headlight cover and my windshield. I can assure you, it does scratch! They did a pretty good job on the rest of it though. I was going to let them do some more custom paint on it but I finally realized I should just let well enough alone. I had paid Danny Lowe $900.99 on my Wells Fargo Visa and thank God I did because Wells Fargo sided with me and gave me my money back in February '08. I had to pay Southern Metal Choppers and the new GM at Woods Fun Center paid the rest just as David Pearson had promised to do. If Wells Fargo hadn't paid me back I would have been out twice what I had agreed upon and Woods Fun Center wouldn't have done anything.
Stay away from Woods Fun Center unless you want the type of treatment I received. Spread the word folks. Stay away from Woods Fun Center.
