he's workin on it..... time for a new host

 

No ****...

With the new video clips on the site the bandwidth is going through the roof. We have 100gigs a month of transfer and used it all up by the 15 of this month, hehe.

We are working on finding a new host. I mean the deal they are cutting us is great but I need something better. I have taken down the video's and purchased some additional bandwidth to get us by for this month.

I am out looking for a provider,

Any ideas??

yeah bandwidth is where its at. ***** a killer. But the deal we got now is 100gigs at 40 a month..which isn't to bad. but we chewed through that bandwith already..

 

yeah well we can get sdsl 1500mbps up and down for around 200-275 a month. thats the same speed as a T1, but you know, not as reliable..but right now, shared hosting is gonna have to do.

The only thing is that NOTHING is for free. Typically companies who offer unlimited bandwidth either charge you if you do go over a certain amount or if you begin to cause there network to slow down. Also typically with unlimited bandwidth companies the bandwidth they provide is shitty. Meaning transfer rates are garbage.

The most expensive part of starting a hosting company is purchasing bandwidth and getting the lines run to your company. So if they are going to give you free bandwidth then you have to be whery..

I'll looking into it though and thanks again for the heads up!.

I just went to your site and downloaded some videos to test the speed of there network. Its not bad, its at about 90k/sec on my dsl. Usually i see about 240k/sec but its not bad for the price.

I think I will send him and email asking him if it would be ok if we were pushing 400gigs a month in traffic.

Also after doing some research it looks like his company is hosted on valuewebs network. Either he has a dedicated server there or co located his servers or is a reseller of theres. It doesn't look like he has his own connection to the web and is using one of the above mentioned valueweb plans.

Still I'm gonna check into it.
