I have only ever been on Saturdays and that’s with my car for the races. Is it bigger on Fridays? Then we usually head to 9W there aren’t usually many bikes there.

Friday nite fuds in Fort Lauderdale is all bikes. Its usually pretty packed. We hang then roll out to some warehouses to mess around at.

I used to race my 2000 SS camaro and did the Tower Shops on Friday nite and Fuds on Saturday nite thing..

Hey Underzen did you ever take your Camaro up to Moroso to run it and get some 1/4 times?

When some of my Minnesota buddies were in town a few weeks back we ran our R6s up there on a Friday night. 15 bucks to your bike or car from 6pm to 2am. We got in about 12 runs, my best was a 11:76 at 120.20mph. But my buddy Mike was killin' me, he got a 11:44 at 120.40mph. It was SO MUCH FUN.

But the reason I ask you about your Camaro is that we were faster than every car that ran that night, and I thought after Fast And Furious I thought there might be some 10 second boys out there. There was only one car that got in the 11s, it was a firebird or camaro(white), he just locked up and WENT. ****** was gone!

So what do you think your Camaro got in the 1/4?

You must have gone on a midnight madness night. The normal hours are about 6 to 10 something. Fri and Wed.

there are usually some quick beasts running there and I am not talking 11's I am talking 9's or better there are also dragsters there along with some pro stock and what not just pends on the night. I have been running my mustangs off and on out there for a few years now.

 

I have ran my camaro to many times to count at moroso. Thats the reason why my clutch is toast.

My best time BONE stock was 13.2 @ 106 mph.

With Cat-back Exhaust and home made hacked up MAF rig I pulled 12.95 @ 108 mph.

Havent been in almost a year. But I'm on my 3rd motor (all under warranty ), my clutch is shot, plugs are gone, and i got a couple of bent pushrods still, but all in all my car is pimp.

 

I happen to be Bias towards stangs I guess because I've had four.
My favorite so far is the Cobra I have now. I am running a 103.8 trap speed with nothing done to it,stock down to the air filter.Not power shifitng either. I do however have a soft spot for the F bodies.
Almost 104 is pretty good considering its only a 281Cu inch (DOHC)motor.
The SS is a 350 right?The SS is my favorit F body next to the WS6

The new R6 is pushing about 102hp. Just a bit more over last years model. It's still a yamaha though.

To further explain my slowness at the track. Yeah the magazine's will tell you a stock R6 will do a 10.97 at 130 or something, but that is with ideal conditions, ideal fast rider, and a lot of other things.

Real life: me at 250lbs, and a stock chain/sprockets with 20,000 that is shot, and an almost shot clutch. And my first time at a timed drag racing track. I really COULD have gone faster with some of those issues worked out.

As for the 2003 R6 even though its still down on HP compared to some of the other 600s, it makes up for it on 357lbs dry and crisp handling. Not to mention looks.
