Kersley Home Coming Parade bike ride 10-8-04

Ok the Kersley Home Coming Parade is this Friday Oct. 8th. I believe the time is 5:30 at the school but I am going to confirm it one more time and post it later. The Parade is at Kersley Highschool which is off of Genesee Rd. between Carpenter & Crosby.

All bikes are welcome to ride in the Parade with us honoring Nick's memory.

I will be posting more final details for this Parade later today.

Hope to see everyone there
Matt

I heard there was an escaped ape rocking wheelies on a bike. What's up with that? They should shoot that thing before it kills someone.

Not with that teenie scope on there, what is that, a 32mm? You better have a lot of light with that peashooter...

3-9x40mm. But I'm not complaining, came free with the rifle! And any marksman will tell you that consistent sighting and identification is way more important then zoom. Plus it's hard to get a good range adjustment on a mile long zoom.

As for peashooter....

.300 Remington Ultra Mag;
  • 3300 feet-per-second
  • 2145 foot-pounds of retained energy at 500 yards
  • 18% greater retained energy than the 300 Wby. Mag and up to 27% greater retained energy than the 300 Win. Mag. at 200 yards
  • Case is .404 Jef. with rebated rim to fit in 375 H&H bolt
  • Average 45 pounds of recoil for non-muzzle brake guns

The only cool part of that scope is the jager symbol on the adjustment covers.

Oh yeah, I'm planning on riding in the Kearsley Parade also. Sounds like a nice thing to do. The FIDDYS would be cool also.

Ok this was an update for the Kersley Parade. It looks like we need to meet up this Friday at 4:00PM at Pero School which must be near Kersley between Genesee and Crosby. I will ask tomorrow about riding the fiddys.

Later
Matt
