Shift Forks and Jacket

1) Anyone have any experience with a tranny that jumps out of gear? I took it apart, and the shift fork for the gear is definitely damaged a little, but not much. Looks like it has about .002-.005 in. less material than it should. Is this enough to cause it to jump out of gear?

2)Looking to buy a leather used leather jacket. First choice would be a Alpinestars womens Dyno jacket, size 40 EUR. Second choice- a small womens jacket that is in decent shape with armor.

Thanks,
-Jake

Shift forks are touchy, good luck on that. I see womans jackets on Ebay pretty darned cheap most of the time..........or you could just barrow Tonys, it obviously fits a woman (Im cold) and he doesn't use it.

Re: Shift Forks and Jacket

dude,I just went thru that whole thing! what bike-the katuna? just replace the shift fork if its damaged(even a little) its not worth messin with cuz you dont wanna do it all over again. make sure to look @ the cogs as well.If they are getting rounded on the edge (even just a little) youll wanna replace that gear cuz it will start problems.(popping out of gear) and if you wanted to get REALLY **** about it you can always just replace the forks, the drum, n gears-have it all magnafluxed,n the gears undercut so its all perfect.
